About the role The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System and developing the necessary skills and competencies of all personnel under their supervision. This position involves overseeing all warehousing functions, including planning and supervising employees to maintain efficient operations. The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for meeting deadlines, managing safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement within the team. What you’ll do Oversee quality adherence, stock levels, delivery schedules, and warehouse planning. Collaborate with the Transport Department to enhance delivery efficiencies. Ensure accurate cataloguing and processing of all shipments. Supervise, mentor, & train warehouse staff to promote cross-training & succession planning. Foster a positive, inclusive culture within the warehouse environment. Troubleshoot issues and implement root cause analysis for continuous improvement. Maintain productivity levels and ensure deadlines are consistently met. Oversee safety processes and ensure compliance with WH&S regulations. Monitor warehouse metrics and provide data for continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to improve communication and efficiency. We’re looking for someone who loves being hands-on, is ready to learn all aspects of warehouse operations, and holds both a forklift and MR Truck license What We’re Looking For Solid background in warehousing management Proven people leadership experience Strong interdepartmental communication skills Ability to provide solution-based outcomes In-depth understanding of the ‘chain of responsibility’ in mass management Extensive experience in WH&S compliance Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, invoicing, and ERP systems. Minimum Cert III in Warehousing and Logistics; Cert IV in Leadership and Management Licenses required: Forklift, MR Truck First Aid Certificate (desirable) Why Join Pace Farm?
