This senior leadership position will directly influence, lead and implement innovative and evidence-based approaches to educational reform, develop and implement a curriculum and digital pedagogical framework for excellence, and provide high-quality curriculum and teaching resources and performance-oriented teacher support focused on excellent student outcomes. This role is designed to support the all members of the senior leadership team in the Directorate, as well as with school principals (where relevant) and other senior leaders and partners across the broader MACS enterprise to jointly lead educational direction as aligned with MACS 2030 and in particular, executing the Directorate’s strategic priorities. This role would suit an experienced educational leader with a strong background in strategic program delivery and leading multi-disciplinary teams, ideally within Catholic education. The ideal candidate excels in curriculum development, innovation, and fostering continuous learning, while aligning with the values and mission of Catholic education. The Education Excellence Team is focused on driving improved learning outcomes, enhancing school performance, and implementing transformative educational programs. They align strategies across regions to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and foster a culture of continuous improvement within schools. WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to implement strategic learning initiatives across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with the Education Excellence priorities. Collaborate with regional leaders and learning specialists to drive improved school outcomes through innovative teaching methodologies and curriculum enhancement. Develop and maintain key performance indicators to assess the success of educational programs, using data-driven insights to guide continuous improvement. Work closely with the General Manager of Education Strategy and Performance to design and deliver transformative learning programs that integrate cutting-edge pedagogies and technology. Organise and manage budgets for learning and teaching initiatives, ensuring resources are optimally allocated to support educational outcomes. Provide leadership and support to build the capabilities of the Learning and Teaching team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and professional development. ABOUT YOU You are a proven, successful General or Senior Manager with significant leadership experience in a K-12 education setting, and a track record of driving strategic educational initiatives. You have a strong understanding and passion for curriculum development, holistic student growth, and educational innovation, particularly within a Catholic education context. You can demonstrate knowledge and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage change, and deliver measurable improvements in learning outcomes. You possess an authentic and professional approach, have exceptional stakeholder management skills, and enjoy being part of a team focused on continuous improvement and achieving positive educational outcomes. You have excellent communication, data-driven decision-making, and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and strategically.
