About the role: seeking a candidate with specific experience in Data Migration Engineering, MS Dynamics & extensive experience in D365 Technical Migration Role : Data Migration Engineer (Dynamics 365) Contract Duration : Until June 2024 Work Location : Brisbane Square, 266 George Street, Brisbane, Qld 4000 Hybrid work: 2-3 days office and rest WFH Key Reqponsibilities: Migration Solution Design: Designing robust data migration solutions, including the architecture and framework, to facilitate seamless data transfer to Dynamics 365. Development of Migration Scripts: Writing and maintaining complex data migration scripts and ETL processes using tools such as SQL, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and custom scripts. Data Extraction and Transformation: Extracting data from legacy systems, transforming it according to business rules, and loading it into Dynamics 365 with precision. Data Quality and Integrity Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data throughout the migration process by implementing rigorous validation and quality checks. Issue Resolution and Debugging: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and data discrepancies during the migration process, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. Performance Optimisation: Optimising data migration processes to improve performance and efficiency, ensuring timely and cost-effective migrations. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure successful migration outcomes. Documentation: Creating detailed technical documentation, including data mapping, transformation rules, migration scripts, and validation procedures. Testing and Validation: Conducting rigorous testing phases, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the migrated data meets business expectations. Post-Migration Support: Providing ongoing support post-migration to address any data-related issues and ensure the smooth operation of Dynamics 365. Microsoft Dynamics Expertise: Leveraging extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to optimise data migration processes and ensure seamless integration with existing business workflows. Required skills and competencies: 5 years of experience as a Data Migration Analyst or similar role. Advanced Database Skills – proficiency in SQL, Oracle, or similar databases Experience with complex or high-volume data migration projects. Relevant Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). Change Management, Understanding of change management practices in data-driven projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
