About the Role Our Flooding and Stormwater team is seeking an Engineer with 1 - 5 years’ experience in some or all of the following areas: Experience undertaking flood studies, flood impact assessments and stormwater management plans Development of hydraulic and hydrological models Preparation of erosion and sediment control plans (desirable) Development of water balance and water quality treatment models (desirable) Advancement project management skills developing relationships with a variety of clients (government, private and resources sectors) Preparation of GIS databases and maps (utilising QGIS, ArcGIS, or MapInfo) About You The successful candidate will have the following attributes: A tertiary degree in civil engineering, or similar (essential).1 - 5 years’ experience working in a similar or complementary role. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, with support from senior staff and colleagues. Experience working in a consulting environment highly desirable. Effective written and verbal communication; organisational and analytical skills. Experience in recording technical data and preparing reports. Experience in project management and maintaining project schedules. Experience in any of the following software will be considered favourably: Hydrology software such as WBNM, URBS, XP-RAFTS, RORB Hydraulic software such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS Water quality modelling software such as MUSIC, eWater Source The Benefits Competitive remuneration with pathways to business ownership.
