The Office of the Coordinator-General is a busy, business-facing, client-orientated office committed to professionalism, excellent customer service and creative problem solving. To deliver the Office’s service-level commitments team members will need to work flexibly and collaboratively. The occupant may need to conduct work outside of normal business hours to meet business needs. The position operates in an office-based environment where some intrastate travel will be required. Due to the confidential nature of the information accessed in this role, the occupant will be required to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and to make and oversee appropriate arrangements and undertakings to ensure confidentiality and appropriate use of information. Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for three (3) years. Duties Oversee and provide high level administrative and executive support to the Office of Coordinator-General, in particular the Hobart site. Develop, implement and engage others in the delivery of initiatives to improve administration processes within the office. Support the Executive Director – Investment Attraction and the Executive Director Special Projects/Chief Operating Officer through effective diary management, organising appointment briefings and meetings, effective email management and elevation of issues for attention as appropriate. Provide business support to the Office of the Coordinator-General, through editing, reviewing and preparation of high-level correspondence including reports, Ministerial matters, Cabinet submissions and Question Time Briefs (QTB). Liaison with industry clients, international organisations, relevant Minister’s Office, Ministerial Liaison Unit, senior State and Federal Government staff, industry and the general public. Organise and manage itineraries including frequent bookings for travel, accommodation, hire cars, departmental loan cars, training courses and seminars/events. Work collaboratively within State Growth to coordinate, monitor and manage information. Other duties as required to assist with the efficient operation of the Office of the Coordinator-General.
