Responsibilities: - Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. - Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of clients. - Support clients with mobility and transportation needs. - Administer medication and monitor clients' health conditions. - Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks. - Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to client needs. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure high-quality care. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and care. Qualifications: - Candidates must reside within a one-hour drive from Cashmere, QLD, 4500 - Physically capable male Disability Support Worker with a strong, preferably athletic build, to support a physically strong child who may occasionally display challenging behaviours. - Valid Blue Card - Certification in disability support or a related field (behavioral health certification preferred) - Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Compassionate, patient, understanding demeanor - Experience managing challenging behaviors/situations - Knowledge of disability rights & advocacy What We Offer: Competitive salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
