The Role We are seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering a cutting-edge English curriculum at Sheldon College. Working with a passionate team of dedicated educators, your goal will be to enhance the capabilities of students within the English and Languages Education Faculty (teaching Years 7 - 10 ACARA English, with Years 11 and 12 QCAA English and/or Literature experience, as desired). About you Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications majoring in English curriculum; Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT); Ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of students in English according to ACARA and QCAA curriculum; Experience and knowledge in preparing students for External Examinations; Knowledge of QCAA accreditation in the QCE processes (i.e. Endorsement, Confirmation); Passion for quality learning and teaching, and the ability to translate this into a challenging learning environment with strong student engagement and excellent academic outcomes; Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment in which trust is fostered, individual differences are respected and valued, and students are encouraged to be risk takers and self-directed learners; Capacity for reflection and self-directed learning with a commitment to continuously improve teaching practices; Ability to apply creative and innovative practices and processes in education and digital platform tools to support student learning; Strong team orientation with a willingness to contribute and collaborate; Ability to establish effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues and partnerships within the wider community; High standards of personal integrity and professionalism About Us Sheldon College is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational College situated in Redland City, catering for students from 15 months of age through to Year 12.
