About Your Role: As a Disability Support Worker at H1 Group you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our clients living at home/group homes with various disabilities. Responsibilities: Building rapport with the client and their family Adhering to the participants care plan and NDIS frameworks. Domestic tasks including household cleaning, meal preparation and laundry Personal care Close supervision and prompting for community mobility including road safety. Supervise medications. Must be comfortable around dogs Requirements: Current Police Check, First Aid and CPR certificate Australian background, with strong English communication skills Bowel care and urinary care experience is mandatory Able to work with extreme high behaviours Experience assisting with ADL's FULL Australian License Able to use your own initiative Reliable, headworkers who can commit to Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 18:00-22:00pm The client exhibits both verbal and physical aggression due to her high BOC. This requires staff who are patient, calm, and experienced in managing challenging behaviours in a safe and respectful manner.
