About You: We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer with a strong background in e-learning and instructional design. You will possess exceptional communication skills and a passion for creating engaging educational materials. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with academic teams to develop innovative online and blended learning experiences. Overview of Role: As an Instructional Designer, you will be a vital member of EDU’s Learning Development team, responsible for designing instructional materials and engaging e-learning content for both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners. The role is based in our Sydney Campus . Key Responsibilities Content Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and create interactive instructional content and assessments for both online and blended delivery formats. Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to academic teams on best practices for designing and delivering online curricula, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on e-learning materials to ensure they meet institutional and regulatory standards. LMS Management: Publish learning content to the Learning Management System (LMS) in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with project plans and deadlines. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in the creation and publishing of instructional resources to enhance efficiency. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as reasonably directed by the Learning Development Manager to support team objectives. Education, Experience, and Skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in e-learning or instructional design. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in Higher Education. Proficiency in designing engaging content for diverse audiences. Experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas, and tools such as Adobe Captivate, Mahara, and Echo 360 . Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Collaborative mindset with a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, TEQSA, ASQA standards, and the ESOS Framework.
