We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Process Engineer to join us in our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a fixed term basis for 15 months. Reporting to the Team Lead Bid Support, you will play a key role in supporting the Engineering Development Leads in developing customer proposals, technical reports and engineering deliverables for new project opportunities. Key Responsibilities Prepare engineering design documentation for the concept and pre-FEED stages of assigned projects including pipelines, pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and future fuels (hydrogen / carbon dioxide / ammonia) transportation, storage and distribution facilities as well as gas power stations Prepare engineering design documentation including but not limited to modelling in HYSYS, process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, reports, etc. Prepare concept and Pre-FEED study reports, preparation of bid documentation, and customer presentations Perform life cycle cost analysis at concept level to identify recommended options Ensure engineering and design documentation prepared by APA, external engineering service providers, or vendors meets project/stakeholder requirements, statutory and licence requirements, applicable APA, Australian and international standards Reviewing and approving (as delegated) design calculations, datasheets, reports, documentation and drawings prepared by other engineers Your background Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent (Required) Chartered or Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (Preferred) Extensive experience in the design of gas transmission, gas processing, LNG, chemical process, power generation, utilities or associated industries Knowledge of Australian Standard AS2885, ASME B31.3, and associated Australian and International reference standards A working knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety legislative requirements Ability to fulfil a coaching role and / or to be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary project team About the Team The Bid Support team plays a pivotal role in establishing the basis for evolving changes in the Australian East Coast gas transmission market. As a Senior Process Engineer in this team, you will work closely with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to bring clarity and direction to a range of exciting Greenfield and brownfield development projects. The team is nimble and precise while maintaining a view of the bigger picture to ensure we identify and mitigate the right risks at the right time to ensure the success of our delivery teams.
