About the Role The purpose of the Financial Wellbeing Portfolio is to provide customers a valuable experience that focuses on creating a seamless banking journey as well as a healthy financial ecosystem. As an Experience Design Researcher , you will be working very closely with product owners, designers and stream leads and will primarily be responsible for scoping, innovating methods, delivering research, reporting and presenting results to a range of stakeholders. You will also be collaborating with our other research disciplines such as behavioural science, customer insights & outcomes, as well as strategic research. Role Type: Permanent, Full time Role Location: Melbourne, VIC What your day may look like Conducting generative and evaluative design research; qualitative research (i.e. observations, interviews, focus groups, usability testing) and quantitative research (i.e. data, A/B testing), and translating research insights into solid design solutions Execute strategic research methodologies Research digital and non-digital assets Executing remote and in person research Using tools such as Lookback, Maze, UserZoom as well as research communities ​​​​​​​ What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Experience delivering and collaborating with others in an agile environment Experience working with behavioural science, strategic research and analytics Practical experience across various research strategies throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to launch and ongoing optimisation Research techniques across a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods including surveys, interviews, digital and non-digital stimulus Experience in facilitating user research sessions, in person and remotely Strong stakeholder management experience, with a track record of translating vague stakeholder needs into research methodologies Having worked on customer migration and product simplification projects is preferred You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
