They are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to integrate within the team and help lead the division through a high profile project. The Role: Deliver robust and high quality mechanical solutions that are compliant with all applicable business and regulatory requirements through own effort or as part of the mechanical development team Demonstrate understanding of the system design objectives (cost, performance) and constraints (manufacturability, feasibility) and guide the decisions of the mechanical teams in accordance to these Budget setting, tracking and forecasting for project mechanical effort Develop instrument mechanical architecture and ensure quality of group mechanical deliverables Lead mechanical team to deliver quality outcomes to schedule and budget Establish, implement and manage build activities within Invetech staged development programs Provide support in response to requests for assistance in matters relating to mechanical engineering product issues Personal Attributes & Experience Background: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent At least 6 years relevant experience in product development including complex electro-mechanical devices Extensive experience across the product development lifecycle Experience developing medical products highly regarded Demonstrated design expertise in at least one of the following disciplines: robotics, fluidics, optics, mechanisms, plastic moulding, structures, thermal control Competency in CAD (Solidworks) Experience with a variety of manufacturing methods and working with suppliers Experience generating technical documents including design descriptions, test plans and reports Proven ability to lead, train, mentor and coach others Positive, self-motivated disposition Excellent interpersonal and communication skills What’s on Offer?
