An opportunity is available for an experienced, professional despatch administrator to join our ever-expanding logistics team, reporting to the warehouse supervisor. You will be experienced in providing professional customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. The role will provide support for daily operations of both domestic and export freight within the QLD despatch department. The role will be hands on providing administrative support to the Despatch team as well as providing shop floor support including picking, packing and the loading and unloading of trucks. To be successful in this role you will have strong administrative skills, a good understanding of shipping/transport documentation and you will be comfortable in a warehousing environment with experience in operating a forklift. Responsibilities / Experience & Qualifications: Liaising with both internal and external contractors/ customers Book transport and prepare appropriate documents, Coordinating domestic and freight, shipments Assist in picking and packing of customer, local export, and distribution orders and stock takes Ensuring correct paperwork is signed off and communicated back to sales/management. Ensuring goods are labelled accordingly and completion of transport documentation Providing quality customer service both over the phone and face to face General reception and administration duties Proven working experience working in a Despatch environment highly regarded Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems an advantage Strong interpersonal, Time Management and organizational skills, ability to multitask. Self-motivated, reliable and ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail Forklift licence required.
