We have exciting opportunities to join our dedicated team of Casual Disability Support Workers to assist in customers support during the upcoming Christmas festive period. Casual hours are available in Albury NSW for Experienced Disability Support Workers. These positions have potential for ongoing hours including Part-time Permanent positions for suitable candidates, along with career growth and progression opportunities. We offer training for all new starters to ensure everyone feels comfortable and are well prepared for the role. Significant availability is ‘a must’ during this Christmas period across days/nights, weekends and public holidays. Generous penalties apply About the Position The Complex Care Team provides services and supports to both OOHC / Voluntary OOHC and NDIS participants allowing a dual role across Youth and Disability Support. The Youth Worker/Disability Support Worker is responsible for developing, assisting and supporting clients in various locations such as houses, schools, hospitals, community centers and emergency accommodation on a daily basis. This position works within Kirinari’s strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care to provide safety to our clients while identifying and supporting growth needs. You will be working with a variety of different clients, of all age groups who will have complex trauma and behavioral support needs. This position is open to applicants who are new to the industry or have experience across a range of support services including challenging behaviours and or high physical needs. About You Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) is highly regarded Strong interest in youth work, mental health and the disability industry Understanding of strength based trauma informed practice framework Understanding of the NSW Child Safe Standards Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma is highly regarded Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement Complete a National Criminal History Check (paid by Kirinari) Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs Smart Phone Current Driver's Licence Come Join Us To join our vibrant teams, please submit your application We are not requesting a copy of your resume at this stage, so please complete the requested work history & education information on the application page .
