About the College Unity Grammar is a dynamic, private Independent Islamic College situated in Austral, NSW and founded on the commitment of providing the highest quality of education for all students. The College is looking to appoint qualified, highly motivated and experienced teachers, who will ensure all students are provided with a challenging environment to achieve their potential. We are seeking a part-time (2 days per week) Teacher Aide to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the classroom teacher, for the Term 4 block. Duties include: General classroom support Student support Preparation of resources and clearing learning materials Using technology to support learning activities and Administrative duties such as photocopying and filing Ideally you will have: Previous experience as a Teacher Aide and/or hold a minimum a Cert 3 in Educational Support Proven communication and interpersonal skills An understanding of the workings of a classroom A willingness to work as part of a team You will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes Other Candidates The College will consider educational paraprofessionals (e.g. in the process of completing a Certificate III in Education Support) and educators (e.g. a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching without conditional teaching accreditation from the NESA). Essential Requirements The successful applicant will be a proven educator, committed to the advancement of student learning and A commitment and/or appreciation of Islamic values, morals and Faith. Have tertiary qualification in Education/Teaching or equivalent Possesses strong communication skills. Demonstrate initiative and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A high work ethic and commitment to ongoing professional development. Applicants must have a current Working With Children Number for NSW and hold or be eligible for accreditation with NESA.
