We are seeking a full-time Senior Legal Associate in Melbourne. As a key member of a dynamic in-house legal team, you will work closely with an experienced Senior Legal Manager, providing legal advice and strategic support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating key project agreements, including battery supply contracts, land documents, and connection agreements. You will offer legal assistance on project financing, approvals, and address commercial and legal challenges throughout project lifecycles. Collaboration with key stakeholders, including investors and financiers, will be a central aspect of your work. Additionally, you will advise on the legal aspects of international expansion and help implement and enhance legal and governance processes. The ideal candidate will have 5 - 7 years PQE with a solid background in transactional law and commercial contracts, ideally with a focus on Projects. A strong interest in the energy and/or renewables sector is essential. You should be highly skilled in negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial contracts, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. A current Australian Practicing Certificate is required, and top-tier private practice experience is highly regarded.
