Operating over 45 helicopters worldwide, we offer a large and unique variety of Helicopters to suit any situation, including the world’s largest fleet of the most powerful, single engine, twin bladed helicopter – the Bell 214B. With our Headquarters located on the Sunshine Coast, we operate from bases throughout Australia, USA and Europe. We perform in dynamic, fast paced and changing environments, covering all facets of Aerial Fire Fighting, Charter, Emergency Assistance and Helicopter lifting services throughout Australia and globally. Due to significant recent expansion and continued growth, an exciting opportunity has opened for a full time Composite Structures engineer to maintain and develop the McDermott Aviation Rotary fleet. This position requires exceptional technical knowledge and problem-solving skills as the environment is extremely dynamic and does require certain travel at short notice to complete tasks efficiently. McDermott’s service fire and emergency situations as well as weather affected contracts, therefore our team are extremely agile in their ability to keep the McDermott Fleet in the air. Key Requirements and Skills: - Experience in the Aviation Sheet Metal Industry is essential - Cert IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or other Relevant Trade Qualifications - A strong work ethic and a reliable and enthusiastic attitude - Dedicated to the pursuit of quality and excellence - Ability to manufacture from technical drawings - Repair and/or fabricate aircraft metallic components and parts - Maintenance and Repair of Composite structures - Ability to work to tight deadlines - Current and valid driver’s licence - Minimum 3 years work experience
