The Role As the Automation & Control Engineer you will join the Brisbane team and be responsible for the Design, Programming, Testing and Commissioning of Automation Systems across a variety of industries. Additionally, you will communicate with both internal and external clients and build new business relationships. Key Responsibilities Design and implement advanced control systems for industry-specific needs. Create and maintain technical documentation, including control philosophies. Program PLCs and RTUs across various platforms (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens). Develop SCADA and HMI applications using tools like iFix and Ignition. Configure industrial networks and telemetry systems (e.g., LoRaWAN, LTE). Benefits Paid parental leave Flexible working Training and development programs Social Clubs Paid overtime Key Criteria Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Computer Systems Engineering (Engineers Australia recognition preferred). 2-5 years' relevant experience or strong foundational knowledge. Proven skills in PLC/RTU programming, SCADA/HMI development, and industrial networks. Experience with PLC/SCADA technologies (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens) in heavy industry. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices. Collaborative, customer-focused, with strong communication and MS Office skills.
