An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced maintenance manager to join the Crealis Australia team in Adelaide. Role Overview Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance & Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance employees, contractors as well as the projects and processes within the engineering function to achieve the agreed KPIs. Other key responsibilities include: Working collaboratively with the site leadership team in the execution of the site operations strategy for Australia that aligns with the group’s global strategy and vision; Ensure that the business fully complies with all regulatory affairs in WHS, Quality, Environment and Engineering; Manage and improve engineering costs, including direct and indirect labour, materials, parts, contractors and projects; Deliver an employee engagement programme; Drive continuous improvement in maintenance through lean principles along with researching, evaluating and implementing new processes and technologies to drive the maintenance and engineering practice to the organisation’s benchmarks. Skills, Knowledge and Experience The successful candidate must have proven experience in the field of maintenance or engineering team leadership. Strong experience in machining, welding and maintenance in manufacturing environments is essential. You must possess knowledge and experience in best practice in manufacturing such as lean principles, 5S, RCA, GMP, ISO accreditation, JSA and AS3801. A technical trade qualification in fitting & turning, tool-making and/or electrical licence is required. A diploma in Engineering and an MHE licence is highly desirable.
