Find a career that matters and lasts As a Technical Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to convert complex technical information into instructional materials, courses, and training programs focused on technical or specialised competencies. You will work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learners to create engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of the target audience and align with business objectives. You’ll do this by: Striving to understand and evaluate the specific technical competencies that need to be taught or enhanced within an organisation or educational setting. Playing a pivotal role in developing a structured curriculum or learning pathway that encompasses the required technical competencies. This includes defining learning objectives, sequencing content, and selecting the most effective instructional strategies. Creating impactful instructional materials, such as written documentation, videos, interactive simulations, e-learning modules, and more, to effectively communicate technical information. Designing captivating and interactive learning experiences that empower learners to master technical skills and concepts. This involves leveraging instructional technology, gamification, and simulations. Leading the creation of assessments and evaluations to measure learner understanding and proficiency in technical competencies. This includes designing quizzes, exams, hands-on projects, or performance assessments. Reporting to the Lead Technical Instructional Designer, you will leverage your extensive technical instructional design and competency mapping experience to support this program of work. We are seeking a passionate training professional to help us develop industry leading training programs that enhances the learner experience and introduces innovative training solutions and ways of working. Your expertise Bachelor’s degree or higher in instructional design, education, or a related field, or lesser qualification with relevant experience. At least 3 years related experience in designing, developing, and evaluating learning solutions for technical competencies.
