If you want to help shape the future of Frankston, now is the time to join our team About the position Frankston City Council is looking for a Visitor Services Officer to join our team and be the welcoming face of Frankston. This is a temporary, part-time position (ending 30 April 2025) working 3 days a week, including weekends, 18 hours per week in total. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region and can provide visitors with tailored, informed, and relevant information. In addition to customer service, you will also handle retail sales and upsell products and experiences when appropriate. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality customer service at the Frankston Visitor Information Centre and through our Roving Visitor Services program. Promoting local attractions, activities, and accommodations, helping visitors get the most out of their stay. Handling retail sales and upselling relevant products and experiences to enhance the visitor experience. Supporting the administration of visitor services, including ticketing, digital services, and event information. Working through the exciting summer and events season, assisting at locations such as the foreshore or events like the Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights and Waterfront Festival. To be successful in this role you will be; Passionate about the local area and has a strong knowledge of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula’s attractions. Able to offer tailored recommendations and upsell relevant services and products. Committed to delivering excellent customer service and comfortable handling retail transactions. Enthusiastic about working in a varied role, interacting with visitors at both the information centre and local events.
