Our client an international global leader in the optical fibre industry are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Maintenance Electrician to work in their Lilydale operation. This is a fulltime position with a company who are committed to the training and development of their employees. You would be expected to undertake maintenance tasks within the Maintenance Workshop and Onsite, on a range of equipment such as plastic extruders, wire drawing and stranding machines. The role is to work within the maintenance department to achieve production targets, compliance with statutory, safety, health, budget and environmental requirements. An attractive salary, allowances, overtime, RDO and rotating shift format are on offer for the successful candidate. The position is rotating shifts Rotating weeks. WEEK 1: MON- THURS 7:15AM-3:15PM FRI 7:15AM-1:15PM WEEK 2: MON-THURS 3:15PM- 11:15PM FRI 1:15PM-7:15PM Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Perform work as per the maintenance schedule. Analyse and offer solutions for improving PLC functions. Identify and discuss hazards with other tradespersons. Ensure the required materials of the tasks are at hand by using internal systems. Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety policy & procedures. Demonstrate commitment and promotion to the implementation of Nexans values. Essential skills and experience include: Trade qualification. Minimum of 3 years trade experience. Committed to promoting a safe workplace. Engage with team members and work across the organization clearly, efficiently and fairly. Work collaboratively with employees across all levels of the organisation. Ability to work under pressure.
