POSITION OVERVIEW As a Senior School Teacher, your role is to plan and deliver a tailored curriculum to students in Years 9 – 12. The role will involve working collaboratively with the Senior School team and integrating innovative approaches into the program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the needs of Senior School students (Years 9-12). Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic requirements within the classroom. Develop and prepare course materials. Work collaboratively with other members of the Senior School team to foster a cohesive and supportive educational environment. Establish a rapport with students to create inclusive, supportive learning environments. Engage in curriculum development activities, incorporating innovative approaches into the programs across Physics, Information Technology/Digital Technologies and English. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay current with subject matter expertise, and contribute to the school's commitment to continuous improvement. Liaise with students and parents/caregivers to discuss student progress, address concerns, and provide support when needed. Participate in the Pastoral Care program and if required, lead a Pastoral Care class. Contribute to the school’s Co-curricular program. Support the Christian ethos of the School. Undertake administrative tasks, as required. SELECTION CRITERIA The successful candidate must have: Relevant teaching qualifications. Current Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) card. Understanding of Positive Education theory and practices. Willingness to participate in curriculum development and professional development. Experience in the meaningful integration of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into the curriculum. Thorough knowledge and understanding of teaching students with diverse learning needs. Ability to teach Religious Studies advantageous.
