The role An exciting opportunity is open for a Preschool Room Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience at Kids' Uni North. Your responsibilities will encompass driving our philosophically approaches centred on attachment theory and Circle of Security. In your capacity as the room leader, you will lead the implementation of Kids' Uni's innovative curriculum and pedagogical approaches for the children in their years before school. With the support of our dedicated and experienced leadership team, you will champion the best interests of our staff, children, and families. You will be supported in your role by the Head of Early Education, the Practice Support Teacher, and our Wellbeing Coordinator, as well as through strong community partnerships such as Woolyungah Indigenous centre, UOW Early Start and UOW Early Years. You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Kids’ Uni’s unique culture and philosophies for the remainder of the year with a focus on building relationships with staff, children and families. This will lay the groundwork for a successful foundation for 2025. Requirements Hold a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting, with a proven track record of driving practice change and fostering a culture of excellence. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react and respond effectively to emergency situations, tight deadlines, and parent concerns. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the operation of an Early Childhood Education and Care Service, with a commitment to upholding these standards at all times.
