We are seeking a Copyright Ownership Administrator to join the Quality Assurance team in our Sydney HQ . The role is a full-time permanent opportunity playing an important part in facilitating APRA AMCOS’ core service of royalty distributions to members and affiliate societies and the role will suit people with an excellent knowledge of music and an interest in copyright, plus strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Key duties and responsibilities: The core tasks for this role involve musical works identification, works ownership maintenance and integrity checking, with the aim of enabling the accurate and successful distribution of royalties for APRA AMCOS repertoire. Liaising closely with your colleagues from different sectors of the business, you will be using work registration and agreement information plus international databases and research tools to maintain and/or verify the accuracy of work ownership information for Licensing purposes and accurate, efficient distributions of APRA AMCOS royalties. Skills and Experience: Some knowledge of APRA AMCOS’ business Good understanding of copyright for musical works Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong numeracy Attention to detail Strong organisation and prioritisation skills MS Office suite (intermediate MS Excel highly desirable) Strong research skills, especially the effective and efficient use of search engines, online resources, and databases Good written and verbal communication skills A proactive and supportive team player who can work well unsupervised Excellent music knowledge across multiple genres To apply for this role please submit a short cover letter outlining why you would be suitable for this role and a current resume by COB 4 October 2024.
