ABOUT THE ROLE We operate a modern fleet of around 30 prime movers of various configurations from PBS twin steer truck and 6 axle dog tippers, semi tippers through to B Double and A Double/triple road-trains. We also operate 8 cement powder tankers ranging from singles, road trains and PBS compliant twin steer truck and 5 axle dog cement tankers. Our team of professional drivers pride themselves on their safety performance and ability to work independently and problem solve on the job. We are looking for a full time, experienced candidate to fill our vacant HC Truck and Dog Driver (Night Shift) position. In this position you will transport bulk concrete aggregate products between our Quarries and concrete plants at night time. As one of our drivers you will be available Monday to Friday nights. Your shifts will be between 10 and 12 hours, starting at 5pm. All of our drivers pride themselves on being able to work independently, and problem solve on the job. To be successful in the role you will be reliable, adaptable and take pride in your work. Experience in operating a tipper with manual road ranger gearbox is mandatory, Front end loader experience is also essential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIIES Safe operation of heavy vehicles backed by a solid driving record Understand and adhere to National Heavy vehicle legislation and OH&S Procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team Conduct daily pre-start checks and report all maintenance issues promptly Comply with ongoing drug and alcohol screening and other site access requirements Represent Hallett Group in a professional manner to the general public, road users and customers Maintain vehicles to company standards Participate in toolbox meetings and ongoing training and development QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES HC/MC licence (essential) 18 speed road ranger (2 years experience) (essential) Tipper and Loader experience (essential) Truck and Dog or B-Double/Road train experience (minimum 2 years) (essential) Competency in Basic Fatigue Management and Mass Management preferred APPLY NOW Apply now by submitting your resume and cover letter.
