About the role Drivers will receive containers from Wharf and deliver & discharge to customer site, Rail terminal, and Qube Yard. Drivers will work within the chain of responsibility to ensure that scheduling and consignment terms comply with fatigue management requirements and relevant transport and safety legislation. Position: Truck Driver Location: Wynyard, Tasmania Status: Full Time - Day & Night Shift availability and desire to work overtime. Duties Efficient operation of the site’s vehicles Operate specialised machinery to discharge Polymer products from 20’ Container into customer silo. (Rotary Tipper trailer with 20’ Containers) BFM Accreditation or willing to obtain. Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the preparation and signing of cartage dockets and service requests) Follow appropriate company procedures Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product Undertake supervision work when directed Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care Ensure compliance with all NHVR regulations, fatigue management, and with loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle specific permits About You Heavy Combination (HC) Drivers Licence or specific license as required Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience Experience with Truck & Dog Tippers desirable Demonstrate suitable driving history with HC licence. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment Ability to work well within a small team environment Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, NHVR regulations and permitting standards MSIC Card desirable Key Competencies/Skills Basic mechanical knowledge in dealing with heavy vehicles Good driving skills for heavy haulage trucks Good skills in operating other equipment used by Qube Sound communication skills (both written and verbal) Customer focused and responsive to customer requirements Performance and task driven Integrity Good time management Benefits Up to 50% off gyms, studios, active wear, healthy meals, supplements, recovery and more through the Qube Fit program.
