Your Opportunity Nepean Longwall is experiencing significant growth and are seeking a Purchasing & Project Administrator to join our Supply Chain team in Mackay, QLD. This full-time permanent position is integral to our operations. Key Responsibilities: Identify and select optimal suppliers for products and services, focusing on reliability, price, and quality. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors in QLD, NSW, and internationally. Expedite orders and maintain accurate order dates in Pronto. Ensure received products/services comply with NEPEAN Longwall purchase orders and coordinate with accounts as necessary. Implement and manage the spares and repairs process, including quoting, purchase orders, invoicing, requisitions, and job files. Participate in and coordinate fortnightly WIP meetings. Prepare WIP reports for month-end reporting. Maintain and review sell prices in Pronto. Assist in training other departments on sales processes within Pronto. Process and manage warranty claims and repairs. Monitor inventory turnover and report on efficiencies or deficiencies monthly. Maintain the Toolbox and perform other duties as required. The Right Person To be successful in this role, you should have: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or relevant tertiary qualification; or a keen and eager attitude if lacking direct experience. Experience with Pronto is beneficial but not essential. Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (intermediate level). Excellent prioritization and workload management skills. Strong customer service abilities and excellent presentation skills. Adaptability, flexibility, and exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). Full working rights in Australia. Familiarity with NEPEAN Longwall products is desirable.
