ROLE Act as an experienced practitioner for Pipeline and Civil Engineering matters within the Corporation by providing technical support to the Civil & Structural Engineering team, delivering a high professional level technical investigation, design, audit and advisory services related to all aspects of water and wastewater standards and infrastructure Key responsibilities include: Drive an increased awareness in the Safety in Design (SID) process through coordination of an effective SID consultation and delivery plan with resources from Asset Management, Program/Project Management, WHS, Operations, Design and Construction in order to achieve safe design outcomes. Act as an experienced practitioner in Pipeline discipline matters across the Corporation which includes pipe support structures Contribute towards the development of technical standards, guidelines, details and best practices of pipeline engineering Support other technical disciplines by providing civil engineering inputs. Seek and initiate value add initiatives for the Civil & Structural discipline team to satisfy customers’ needs. Provide timely, accurate, appropriate, and adequate information and documentation to minimise delays and provide cost effective solutions. YOU Tertiary Structural Engineering qualification specialised in Pipeline Engineering Detailed knowledge of pipeline engineering standards, procedures and practices and large engineering organisations and leading expert function as SME Have a sound knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and roads. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desirable: Design software knowledge such as Caeser or Micrrostran Affiliation and Recognition of discipline expertise by Engineers Australia Demonstrated experience in the execution of novel, complex and critical engineering investigations and designs in Pipeline and Civil Engineering.
