The Opportunity Reporting through to a Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving trains safely and conforming to current regulations as well as meeting daily operational train plans and schedules. You will also be required to liaise with customers, both internal and external, and train controllers to ensure that schedules are met. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drive locomotives safely and in line with regulations. Work within the Newlands system and support depots across Central Queensland. Liaise with train controllers and customers to ensure schedules are met. Conduct minor maintenance, provisioning, and preparation of relevant compliance documents. Adhering to safe working regulations and requirements of driver accreditation in a heavy haul operating environment. Liaising with Train Control regarding the operation of the train schedules and efficiencies About You You will be currently accredited and fully qualified as a locomotive driver that can work within a team to achieve goals, and work autonomously as required. You will also have: Qualified locomotive driver with relevant accreditation. Certificate IV in Train Driving. Unrestricted Queensland Driver’s Licence. Experience with ECP and Distributed Power (advantageous). Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
