About the Role Reporting to Michael Flanagan, this is a secondment opportunity within the Construction Assessment & Delivery team of UPD. As the Senior Construction Engineer you will be responsible for: Recommending engineering construction decisions and determining some elements of the statutory services related to civil engineering and environmental engineering and landscape design within the context of the proposed works. Ensuring that the new stormwater treatment & flood prevention infrastructure assets such as Wetlands, Waterways, Retarding Basins & Pipelines are being constructed in conjunction with the development to meet Melbourne Water’s standards and expectations. Day-to-Day Duties Inspect DSS construction sites around the Melbourne Water region to make practical engineering & vegetation decisions in real time, assess and resolve field-based issues, collaborating closely with Project Engineers in the CAD team and various stakeholder teams throughout Melbourne Water. Provide input and advice to the suitability of the Site Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) submitted by the developers' contractor ensuring compliance with the various Acts and Regulations for both Environmental protection as well as Health & Safety Involvement in project management, encompassing financial aspects such as variations, cost options, and more.
