About the Role We are seeking a motivated and organised Warehouse Manager to lead the operations and branch planning of our Welshpool warehouse. Reporting to the General Manager (WA), the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of warehouse activities, including the provision of the branch's Rental Services, complete parts assembly, dispatch of Sales & Transfer Orders and receiving of Purchase and Transfer Orders. This position also requires a strategic focus on optimising workflow, improving internal efficiencies, and driving growth. Key Responsibilities Develop plans for non-standard orders to ensure the company’s standard DIFOT rate is achieved. Oversee stock receipt, inspection, and dispatch, ensuring timely order fulfilment. Manage inventory control, maintain accuracy, and ensure proper stock levels across WA sites. Collaborate with sales and supply teams to resolve out-of-stock issues and urgent needs. Maintain clear communication with sales teams, providing timely ETAs, risks, and backorder updates. Ensure proper labelling of all inventory and maintain organised warehouse locations. Supervise loading/unloading and ensure safe operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment. Oversee stock replenishment and manage freight consignments, bookings, and quotes. Coordinate backorder fulfilment and handle returns, ensuring same-day action on repairs. Monitor stock movement and maintain reports on dead stock to meet thresholds. Ensure WHS compliance, conduct safety audits, and keep the warehouse neat and organised. Drive continuous improvements to optimise efficiency and enhance customer service. About You Having a strong background in warehouse and operations management, the ideal candidate will be self-driven, detail-oriented, and have excellent leadership capabilities. The key qualifications and experience we are looking for include: 4 years of experience in warehouse or depot management, ideally in a related industry. Strong understanding of warehouse systems, inventory control, and KPIs. Experience in sales and operations management, focused on results and improvement. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration. Proficiency in warehouse management systems and general computer skills (NetSuite preferred). Valid forklift and driver’s licences. A technical background in equipment management or maintenance is desirable.
