The WSA Legal team is comprised of the Chief Legal Officer and three other solicitors. You will have the opportunity to contribute to WSA’s broad Legal activities, working closely with our team of experienced solicitors and engage with other internal stakeholders. Part time: 2-3 days/week over 3 -6 months depending on university study workload and other circumstances Place of work: WSI’s Liverpool or Luddenham offices, depending on business requirements Key areas the role will support / contribute to: Assist with the review and updating of a suite of 10-12 WSA proforma legal agreements Assist with organisation and filing of WSA digital legal files and documents for knowledge management, document storage and AI utilisation purposes Monitoring for changes in case law and legislation directly and indirectly applicable to WSA Drafting of minor legal documents (confidentiality agreements) and non-binding legal documents (MOUs and Heads of Agreement) Assist with research on specific legal issues to contribute to specific legal advices prepared by the senior solicitors in the Legal department Required skills / attributes / qualifications: A university student currently undertaking a Bachelor of Law degree Preferred subjects include Contracts, Government and Public Law, Torts Law, Criminal Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution High level of integrity and professionalism Legal analytical and research skills Excellent listening and comprehension skills Strong written communication skills High attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Strong skills with Microsoft suite and Adobe PDF Strong time management and productivity Personable, professional, respectful, affable, useful and helpful Ability to complete corporate training and induction processes Learning Opportunities: Build on foundational skills covered at University Supervised para-legal experience Practical learnings to support career pathway Working in a professional corporate environment Strategic analysis and thinking Working with internal stakeholders in the Legal department Other requirements: Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident Must be in your 3rd or 4th of an undergraduate Law degree qualification with a motivation to practise law in the future after completion of the Bachelors degree Own transport to attend offices at Liverpool or Luddenham What We Offer This role represents a great opportunity to join an Airport that represents the future of aviation and to showcase your skills within a dynamic, fast paced and high-performance culture by living WSA's values: Safety is our priority | We do it with Heart | We strive to be different and better | We achieve together There's a great working environment with flexibility (hybrid office/home) in a collaborative team where your input will be valued and rewarded.
