Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Engineer TC Jasper Infrastructure and Recovery is a two-year contract that plays an essential role in providing strategic leadership and operational support to the Council's disaster response efforts. This position is responsible for overseeing reconstruction of essential public assets in line with funding initiatives and guidelines, and leading infrastructure recovery efforts and enhance resilience post-TC Jasper, ensuring critical assets are restored and prepared for future disasters. The successful candidate will lead a team dedicated to enhancing infrastructure capabilities and uplifting the overall performance of the infrastructure department as a result of TC Jasper. Your key areas of responsibility include driving strategic planning and project management, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver community benefits, ensuring essential services continue while leading strategic initiatives for infrastructure resilience and disaster preparedness. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide visionary leadership to a dedicated team focused on improving infrastructure capabilities, while contributing to the council's broader disaster preparedness initiatives fostering relationships with stakeholders for community benefits and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and internal practices. To be successful you will require a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field along with demonstrated leadership in infrastructure management and disaster recovery.
