THE ROLE Performing and scheduling IT audits to verify adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and established best practices. Examining and adjusting systems, data, and documentation, for example troubleshooting and resolving technical issues through the analysis of system logs and appropriate modifications to system configurations. Analysing, evaluating, and diagnosing technical problems and issues such as installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and configuration and troubleshooting of desktops, software, hardware, printers, internet, and phone systems Leveraging technical expertise to design, implement, and communicate procedures and instructions for prospective IT personnel and non-technical staff regarding operational processes and software applications. This includes creating comprehensive documentation detailing the troubleshooting of common issues with a specific software application and conducting training sessions for new IT agents on proper maintenance and upgrade procedures for the software. Furthermore, offering assistance and guidance to non-IT employees in utilizing the software in their daily tasks, ensuring their familiarity with best practices and adherence to the company's standard operating procedures. Analysing and resolving technical problems, for example, reviewing error logs and system reports to identify the root cause of an issue and implementing a solution to fix it. This could include troubleshooting network connectivity issues, software bugs, and hardware malfunctions. Additionally, evaluating the effectiveness of current systems and identifying areas for improvement to prevent future issues from arising. Overseeing and resolving issues with computer systems involves the management of both hardware and software components, internet connectivity, email systems, databases, operating systems, and security protocols to safeguard against potential threats. An example, a specific task might include preparing new laptops for employees, ensuring they are equipped with necessary resources, and implementing protective measures before distribution. Interacting with users includes providing training on regulatory compliance, such as guiding them on adhering to data protection laws, utilising approved software and hardware, and safely accessing the company's network. An example involves conducting training sessions for new employees to educate them about the company's data protection policies and procedures. Additionally, offering guidance on securely handling and storing sensitive information while using approved software and hardware is an integral part of the training process. Producing technical documents, such as guides and manuals, aimed at providing users with comprehensive instructions and information for the effective use and resolution of issues related to various systems and equipment. For instance, creating a user manual that outlines the setup and functionality of a new software program, or developing a troubleshooting guide specifically tailored for a particular piece of hardware. Annual income for standard 38 hour week excluding superannuation Range ($60,000 - $800,000 per annum Junior - Mid) ($80,000 - $100,000 Mid - Senior) commensurate with industry rates, skills and experience.
