About the business Draslovka is a Czech family-owned global leader in CN-based specialty chemicals, that includes sustainable solutions for the metal mining industry. Draslovka acquired the Chemours Mining Business in late 2021 and so Draslovka has become the global leader in cyanide manufacture and supply to the gold mining industry. This role would be an integral part of the Draslovka Innovation Centre. Whose remit is to rollout, demonstrate, and commercialize the Glycine Leaching Technology. About the role We are currently looking for a 2 year experienced Project Engineer to join the team and help manage our technology assessments in the metallurgical laboratory in Kardinya, Perth. The incumbent’s main task will be to support the timely execution of the allocated technology test work programs. The primary responsibilities will be to: Liaise with clients in a professional manner Update clients verbally and written Manage metallurgical projects from start to final report Plan and conduct all the project test work safely, timely, and qualitatively including sample preparation 50% of the role is hands-on which includes physically conducting the test work on an as-and-when-required basis along with technicians Supervise Metallurgical Technicians Undertake additional duties assigned by your manager The position reports to the Laboratory Manager. And is based on a standard FTE workweek in Perth. Skills and experience Bachelor and/or Master Level qualification in Chemical Engineering, Minerals Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering Professional Proficiency in MS Office Hands-On Metallurgical Laboratory Experience Experience in supervising technicians High-level communication skills Must have the appropriate working rights in Australia to work on an FTE basis in Perth Excellent report writing skills Good understanding of project development and process development progression At least 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience, not necessarily in the field of education Ability to work autonomously and to hold strong persuasive presentation skills are required
