The Position To provide high quality administration and clerical assistance to the Infrastructure, Planning and Environment Directorate. Qualifications & experience Completion of Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent Class C (standard) Driver's Licence, Provisional Licence (compulsory to have and maintain) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Local Government Legislation Some knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Tasks & responsibilities Secretarial/Administration (e.g. Travel arrangements, organising conference registration, accommodation arrangements, preparation of meeting agendas/minutes, diary management). General office duties including typing, photocopying, binding, collating, accounts, data entry, memos, preparation of advertisements, use of MS Office suite to prepare documents/presentations etc. Maintenance of electronic and paper filing system. Mail/Correspondence management and distribution. Develop and maintain information sites for Infrastructure, Planning and Environment on both the intranet and internet. AlburyCity Traineeship Criteria To be considered eligible for this position: An applicant must not have 50% or more of the identified qualification or a similar or a higher industry qualification completed. The recruitment of an AlburyCity Trainee is based on the assumption of no/limited industry skills or knowledge and is not based on age. Hours Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
