About the Role The Electrical Project Engineer will support the design manager in delivering the design and procurement activities for the project. This role involves ensuring the design is safe, meets client requirements, and integrates seamlessly with the project's overall objectives. Key Responsibilities Electrical Engineering Support: Provide expertise in large-scale BESS. Safety in Design: Lead the SFAIRP process for design hazards and facilitate Safety in Design concepts. Project Procurement Support: Manage procurement processes, liaise with vendors, and integrate vendor designs. Engineering Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate client design review meetings and project interface meetings. Design Review: Conduct and participate in cross-disciplinary design reviews. Commercial Management: Ensure scope delivery fits within estimated parameters and manage engineering change items. Compliance: Ensure design compliance with relevant standards and implement value engineering initiatives. Site Support: Provide site-based engineering support during construction and commissioning. Essential Requirements University degree in Engineering with a focus on Energy 5-10 years of experience in renewable energy and power systems Experience in large electrical/utility projects, preferably in mining Design and procurement experience Strong stakeholder engagement skills Ability to travel interstate Project and design leadership/management experience On-site project experience
