About the role As the Director of Sales, you will be well versed within the local market, and responsible for driving revenue expansion, elevating brand visibility, and optimising overall performance . W e seek an experienced , results driven leader to enhance the sales team capabilities for success to achieve budget goals. R eporting to and working closely with the Area General Manager to successfully fulfil overall business , responsible for sourcing and securing new business, nurturing existing contracts and relationships . Core requirements of your role Actively sell all attributes of the property including Accommodation, Conferencing & Events and Dining facilities Review weekly forecasts and market share reports and actively participate in ensuring business levels and market share is maintained Manage and build strategic partnerships & memberships to drive revenue, develop new business opportunities and showcase the Stamford Hotels and Resorts brand Provide effective team leadership, management, training, motivation and development Develop and execute local and national s ales strategies across corporate, events, and business group sectors Develop and implement processes and procedures that provide accurate data and robust support for critical financial objectives Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to research and analyse product, price, performance metrics of competitive sets, and drive above market performance through identification of opportunities Conduct sales activity as required onsite, offsite with clients to drive increased sales volumes and brand awareness with an average of five documented client meetings weekly Ensure expense spends are kept in line with budgeted figures About you The successful candidate should have 2 years’ experience as a Director of Sales or an equivalent role and hold a Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Sales and Marketing or similar and must have e xceptional negotiation skills to secure profitable deals and partnerships .
