NV1 cleared Security Administration Officer 12 month contract extensions Manage and support security clearance processes Barton, ACT - Flexible work arrangements Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Barton, ACT, requries an experienced security admin officer for a long 12 month contract, with extensions. Duties Processing criminal records checks. Managing electronic security inboxes and responding to queries within appropriate timeframes. Commence, monitor, progress and finalise security clearance processes. Managing and supporting security clearance processes with External Security Vetting Services (ESVS) and other government agencies. Providing policy and related procedural advice regarding security clearance requirements as outlined in the PSPF and the Departmental Security Framework. Preparing documentation for delegate approval. Compiling regular compliance reports to manage and forecast workloads. Assist with the progression of internal security processes as required (remote work/integrity checks). Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for the administration of security clearances. Selection Criteria Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities. Ability to interpret policy in responding to client queries; and ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to interrogate and manipulate information systems. Knowledge of the Australian Government's Protective Security Framework. Experience in processing clearance applications and managing high volume clearance enquiries.
