The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Retail Lease Accounts Payable Officer to join our Property team. We're looking for someone with a strong finance background and a passion for lease administration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring property occupancy costs are accurately managed and that our lease agreements are adhered to. Working closely with the National Lease Administration Manager, this role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment. About You You are a meticulous and organised professional who excels at managing financial transactions and ensuring data accuracy. Your expertise in retail property lease administration and your ability to work autonomously will be key in driving our success. To excel in this role, you must be skilled in financial analysis, reconciliation, and have a strong understanding of retail lease contracts. Your Day will consist of: Ensuring accurate and timely payment of rent and outgoings, in line with lease agreements. Proactively resolving disputes with landlords and maintaining clear account reconciliations. Enhancing data accuracy in the lease management system. Supporting the finance department with reports, budget queries, and auditor requests. Managing sub-tenants' invoicing and financial transactions. Assisting the legal and facility teams with lease clauses and maintenance responsibilities. As a financial lease administrator, you are recognised as someone who has: Prior Finance experience with a background in Retail Property Lease Administration. Strong negotiation, written, and oral communication skills. The ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines. Competence in using lease management systems or similar databases.
