We have a great opportunity for you join our Family & Wellbeing team working at the John McVeity Centre (JMC), a vibrant hub for recreational and community activities. The John McVeity Centre (JMC) is dedicated to providing a wide range of formal and informal sports, group and individual fitness and community development activities where our community finds connection and engagement. What you’ll do Oversee day-to-day operations at the John McVeity Centre (primarily during weekends and weeknights) Provide administrative support to bookings of sporting activities, functions and other activities at the JMC. Provide a high level of customer service to users of the JMC. Operate the JMC canteen Oversee the set up and pack down of hired spaces by user groups, ensuring they are complying with hire agreements. Provide support to a variety of sport and recreation activities. Greet and assist hirers and customers with enquiries, complaints, and requests. What you’ll bring to our team Experience in a sport and recreational facility, community canteen or kiosk environment including the dispensing of food and beverages. High level of customer service experience. Proven ability to work with minimal supervision. Cash Handling including Eftpos, cash and online transactions. Proven ability to effectively use ICT systems including H&L, booking systems and the Microsoft suite. Certificate in Community Services, Retail, Hospitality or a similar discipline is desirable but not essential.
