Description We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Administrator with excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and analytical skills to join our team anywhere within the Essential Energy footprint. Building, operating and maintaining one of Australia’s largest electricity distribution networks requires a significant operational program, to monitor the health of network assets, undertake preventative maintenance and respond to faults and emergencies. Portfolio Services is responsible for coordinating the development and delivery of Essential Energy’s Network Portfolio which encompasses all investments and programs that utilise Essential Energy resources. About the role The Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting the development, negotiation and promotion of all contract and contract management functions. The position entails engaging and communicating with various internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, to provide professional services and contract administration support, with the aim of facilitating the achievement of business goals. Key responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents Administer contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments and terminations Be responsible for contract administration functions such as scheduling meetings and keeping minutes Validate and process complex contractor payment claims, ensuring accuracy and efficiency About You The role requires the candidate to have excellent time management and organisational skills and possess strong problem-solving abilities. A sound understanding of vegetation business objectives and policies is desirable or have the ability and willingness to acquire this knowledge. Additionally, the ideal applicant will possess a comprehensive understanding of accounts payable procedures and our ERP financial system, demonstrating resilience and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines, ensuring contractors receive timely payments in accordance with contractual and legislative mandates, including the Security of Payment Act. Proficiency in Excel, utilising formulas for payment claim analysis, is crucial. The candidate should also be skilled in managing schedules across multiple calendars using Outlook, and capable of conducting effective communication with both external stakeholders and internal management teams, reflecting an understanding of the necessary communicative tone. The candidate should also have strong competency in SharePoint navigation and a solid understanding of record-keeping governance. Required Qualifications Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
