Reporting to Engineering Chapter Lead in the Tech Delivery Tribe, the Software Engineer will play a key role in software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack, from UI to service layer, integrating with our back-end systems. As a Software Engineer in one of our Scrum teams, you will develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production reads. You should be competent in software tools and building software products. Must have the ability to solve complex problems and help the team unblocking any technical problems. What you’ll do … - Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production. - Proactive in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies, and behaviours - Ensure the effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system, and process. - Be an advocate for the adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies, and attitudes. Role model Agile leadership behaviours What we’re looking for… - At least 3 years’ experience in development/software engineering and working within agile organisations. - Demonstrated experience and proficient understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g. Java 8/17, Spring/Spring boot, persistent, Micro services architecture, Kubernetes/Openshift, SQL Server, JBOSS. - Demonstrated experience and good understanding in any one of the varied testing practices such as selenium, API Automation, TDD/BDD, cucumber etc. - Experience with any one of JavaScript libraries i.e. React/AngularJS etc. - Experience with .Net framework - Deep understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g. test, mocking, source control (Git), CI, work tracking, defect management, etc. - Exposure to cloud technologies and automation - Strong communication skills that ensure ability to influence and educate non-technical staff.
