Seeking a Truck Driver Interested in a Truck Driver role? Our client is seeking a Truck Driver to start immediately. Job Description: To carry out truck operations in a competent, safe and efficient way to achieve required outcomes for the Moreton Bay Regional Council and its community. This position is from Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00 am and ending at 03:00 pm. It is located in Caboolture, Queensland. MUST HAVE: White Card HR Driver's licence Key Responsibilities and Outcomes: Provide truck services to the council ensuring service delivery is in accordance with specified timeframes and standards. Operate relevant plant and equipment associated with the position, in an appropriate manner and ensure assets are properly secured when not in use. Build good working relationships across the broader Asset Maintenance Section to ensure quality working relations with stakeholders, staff and the public. Undertake daily checks, basic maintenance, servicing and cleaning of the vehicle/plant each day and report all defects in accordance with council requirements. Provide assistance to Fleet Services team members in relation to relevant maintenance rectification. Correctly use and maintain plant and equipment provided, including all personal protective equipment, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and, the council’s safety policy and procedures. Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrated experience in the use of truck operations and supporting plant and equipment in variety of work environments. Demonstrated ability to safely load and drive trucks with an awareness of the road rules and regulations and the load restraint rules and regulations. Ability to use a variety of technology hardware to undertake activities that support the deliverables of this position. Well-developed experience in working constructively as part of a broader Asset Maintenance Department. Sound experience in undertaking manual tasks in a safe conscious manner. Sound time management skills and the ability to develop, maintain and monitor own work activities in order to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
