Your Opportunity We have a new opportunity for a Engineer in our Developer Services team that forms part of our Environmental & Industrial Group. Developer Services plays an essential role in enabling the development of our communities and providing safe drinking water while protecting the environment and public health by providing world class sewerage services. As our Engineer, assess the Water Approval applications and provide related advice for development technical requests and enquiries for development, to ensure effective and efficient water and wastewater networks and services. As a member of the high-performing Assessment Team, you will be assisting with the technical assessment of over 1500 applications. This will enable over 10,000 new residences per year to access the company's service territory and allow hundreds of businesses to start operating for the benefit of the community. Key Accountabilities: Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide conditions, advice and validate the design. Assess and decide Water Approval applications to ensure quality water and wastewater servicing and infrastructure for development in accordance with legislation, codes, policies and agreed standards. Respond to basic issue escalations promptly and appropriately; investigate and resolve complaints ensuring prompt resolution and quality outcomes for customers and Urban Utilities. Build effective working relationships within Urban Utilities, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues. Support the process of business model rethinking by analysing processes, practices, and procedures using prescribed methodologies. About You: We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent specialist work experience. 2 years of engineering experience in the infrastructure or industrial sectors. You enjoy working in a contemporary and agile working environment, pro-actively engaging with internal stakeholder groups to align priorities and find mutually beneficial outcomes. Can provide technical guidance when required on testing, evaluating and improving engineering outcomes. Can engage with customers and investigate and resolve enquiries that lead to a prompt solution.
