As a Senior Risk and Compliance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all renewable energy assets operate safely, efficiently, and within regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement risk management strategies for renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery storage systems. Monitor and assess the performance of assets to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with asset managers, engineers, and operations teams to address risk and compliance issues, providing technical guidance and solutions. Prepare detailed reports on asset performance, risk assessments, and compliance audits for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Lead the development and continuous improvement of asset risk management frameworks and compliance programs. Ensure that all asset management practices adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Manage incident investigations related to asset failures or compliance breaches, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector. Provide training and support to staff on risk management and compliance best practices. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable. 5-7 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or asset management within the energy or infrastructure sectors. Proven track record in managing risk and ensuring compliance across large-scale renewable energy assets. In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in asset management and compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
