Multidisciplinary Projects- software/electrical / controls Complex technology product development with a focus on using energy efficient products to be deployed in Smart Buildings Leader in BMS domain and established pathway towards Project Management Variety of work as now two projects are the same This is an opportunity for a junior to mid-level Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer who's keen to move into the Project Management stream. You'll already have some domain experience in the Industrial Automation Domain, worked with PLCs and be ready to step up and help deliver smart Building Management Solutions in a complex environment. Apart from delivering sophisticated solutions, you’ll be part of a team that will have a say on selecting and integrating energy efficient technologies that will substantially reduce energy costs and consumption. Ideally, you’ll come from an Electrical Engineering background in the Industrial Automation Controls field, you will also have experience working in complex matrix environments where you have control of people in various technical teams delivering to your hardware, software and mechanical projects. You will be working with a number of engineering teams, across a variety of projects concurrently. From a project engineering perspective, you will have a input into which modern BMS software and hardware controlled products should be used for certain projects; assigning tasks, scheduling work, and communicating with other team members to get to project completion. Soft Requirements: Customer focused Estimate how long it would take to design, build and bring complex BMS solutions to market. Be able to determine what kind of problems are likely in any given project Be able to discern when you are being given less then accurate information or report from developers and contractors Understand the difficulties in a particular project and how you would explore or define requirements to get clarity and move the project forward A natural ability to motivate and influence others Ability to engage with exceptionally intelligent and accomplished technicians and engineers at their level, without trying to direct what they build.
