About the company Our client is a privately owned Engineering Workshop specialising in boilermaking and fabrication services for the mining and trucking industries. Built on the foundation of providing the highest level of service to their customers, this business has some exciting new changes in the works and lots of growth potential to take them even further. About the role Due to ongoing growth we are looking for a motivated Workshop Manager to oversee our client's Engineering Workshop in Maitland, NSW - just a short drive from Newcastle. The role is vital in maintaining and continuing to improve the high standards set by this business in providing high-end engineering services. Key responsibilities will include the following: Ensuring quality standards across the department. Managing the WHS/OHS procedures of the workshop whilst carrying out regular audits. Ensuring that quality work is completed safely, on time and within budget. Continued development of a skilled group of personnel working as a team to achieve outputs. Providing accurate quotes to customers. Producing Manufacturer’s Data Reports (MDR’s) and other supporting materials as required. Actively seeking out ideas for continuous improvement. To be successful you will have: Relevant Trade Qualification - Cert III in Engineering/Fabrication Trade Experience in Supervising workshop operations Well-developed communication and leadership skills Reliability in planning, reporting, communicating and ensuring compliance with internal and legislative commitments and obligations The demonstrated ability to lead in the area of Health and Safety On offer is a base salary around $140k - $150k plus vehicle & incentives.
