What we can offer you: Competitive remuneration package Work/life balance and flexibility including WFH days A purpose driven organization with a fun and vibrant culture Mental Health Days Access to 24/7 free counselling services for you and your family About the role: This newly created role is a 12-month maximum term contract role, which will see the successful incumbent harness a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving and customer-focus design principles to play a pivotal role in designing and developing localised product (particularly pick-up truck undercarriage/ suspensions) in collaboration with our R&D departments within GWM Group. Key responsibilities would include but are not limited to: In collaboration with the GWM Group R&D Department & 3rd party engineering providers, identify product localisation requirements. Identify priorities for necessary engineering actions to reflect localisation requirements in existing products. Co-ordination of the development of the reinforced suspension required with focus on fleet vehicles required by mining businesses. Support for scoping and selection of chassis development suppliers. Provide guidance to chassis engineers dispatched from the China headquarters R&D on formulating ANZ local requirements, coordinate development activities with suppliers, and lead testing and evaluation of improved versions. Perform complex engineering analysis and design evaluations. Skills and Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in vehicle manufacturing R&D. Previous experience in pick-up truck undercarriage development & engineering.
